We are absolutely thrilled to announce that, as of this morning, we have achieved our goal of matching the $12,500 donation, all thanks to your incredible generosity! But that's not all – buoyed by your kindness, a new neighbor has stepped forward with another fantastic offer: a fresh matching grant of $5,000. That's correct – any additional funds we raise today, up to $5,000, will be instantly doubled.

It’s finally here – 2024, the year we break ground for our beautiful new Shutesbury library!
For the past year, the Library Building Committee has worked hard with our architects to design a library with plenty of space for expanded collections and room for people to gather. Our new library will be a valuable resource that enriches our community for generations.
In the spring of 2022, after ten years of fundraising, we had raised $320,000 for the new library. At the time of the override vote we pledged to bring that figure up to $550,000 by groundbreaking. $230,000 in two years. This was, to say the least, an ambitious goal.
Two years later and with an astonishing $520,000 in the bank, we are almost there!
Now the time has come to finish what we started.
Library Giving Day is April 10, 2024, just a few days before this long-awaited project goes out to bid. Every dollar we raise will help ensure that when the bids come in, we have the funds we need to get this job done right.
Once again a team of generous donors has pledged a $12,500 matching gift to help us meet our $30,000 goal. We’re counting on you to get us there on April 10.
